You must have sensed about what this blog must be on. Of course, I am not talking about Jumanji but a very sensitive condition of the human race. And if someone around us coughs or sneezes, we have changed our reaction like three months back we used to utter “BLESS YOU” and now…

Fun aside, coming to the main objective-

It is said that

"A film is hard to explain because it is easy to understand."

I have tried to be as precise as possible to display my understanding of the film because this film carries a documentary kind of grammar.

One can really connect oneself with the film as we are surrounded by the actual pandemic. An ultra-realistic film “Contagious” can be viewed as a film that is spreading awareness regarding the scarier pandemic of coronavirus. Perhaps, the director must have spent years in research in science because the film is able to easily explain a layman about the disease which is unknown to medical experts and the process of their examination and coming to a conclusion seems very interesting.

What is it about?

The film’s plot is based on a virus emerged from China which became an incurable disease for a stipulated period of time causing the death of many lives.

It is an American Thriller Film directed by ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ director Steven Soderbergh. It also shows the scientific response to the pandemic as well as people’s faith in science. The role of doctors, police and emergency staff, as well as researchers, is very noteworthy.

Along with the main story of a father and his daughter who actually finds no real time to grieve in the time of quarantine and stays at home, there are other stories that go simultaneously that show the terrible state of people all over the world because of the highly contagious disease.

The portrayal of social media and government in the film is worth observing.

How it works as a realistic film?

Till a few days back it was a kind of fantasy film but now it can be exemplified under the Reality genre. As we all know that even a single touch can become a cause of infection of this life – taking disease, this film portrays the same infectious disease with an appealing visual quality. It’s more of spreading awareness through visuals rather than preaching the mass who are less likely to follow the instructions of the Government during a medical disaster.

The film also tries to portray the barbarity of human society when they go out of food and basic needs. People kill each other for a living. It scares more in terms of people's ignorance of the pandemic. It reminds us in a very informative way of the consequences or the aftermath of the real-life scornful disease.

I am sure the film won't disappoint you. And the unfolding of the science behind the pandemic is worth believable. The amazing thing is to point out the perspectives that how the disease is been looked at from different points of view by different people. The doctor and the blogger, the father and the daughter, the investigator, all have different perspectives.
