Book Launching Program of Dr Yashpaul Kalra

It was a highly blissful occasion to witness the book launching program of Dr. Yashpaul Kalra, renowned and retired professor in English of Shamaldas Arts College, Bhavnagar. The program was hosted by the Department of English in presence of Shri Varun Kumar, DDO, Bhavnagar, #Dr_Keyur_Dasadya Sir, #Dr. Abdulshamim Khan Sir, #Madhubhai_Shah, #Mrs_Chandraprabha_Kalra and Family.

We all were very delighted to hear Dr. Kalra for his exceptionally philosophical approach to poetry. The program began with a pleasant anchoring of Vaidehi Hariyani ma'am who addressed Ms. Sonal Thakur who sang a Prayer. Prof. Dr. Dilip Barad Sir delivered a welcoming speech and also expressed that we are indeed very fortunate to attend the event and introduced the chief guest Varun Kumar. We came to know that Dr. Kalra's first volume was #Impressions which was published in 2000. #Introspection_of_time has a very philosophical height that deals with the observations of the world. #American_Social_Interactions has a vast range of experiences of Sir's visit to America and interaction with Americans. Talking about the #The_Songs_of_Holistic_Hari, the fourth book, Sir informed us about the spiritual power which inspired him to write.

The District Development Officer, Varun Kumar, a very humble personality shared some anecdotes with us about his journey from being a University topper in Engineering in Pune to joining Public Service and becoming IAS. He said that he was inspired by the #Anna_Hazare who led a reformist movements for rural development.

#Dr_Yashpaul_Kalra had introduced all his work's themes to us and we all were so excited to read about his works. In Sir's addressing, we found that his outlook and perspectives of looking at things were full of novelty and freshness. In his discussion, Sir mentioned that his prime focus is on #Time and #Change.

With the central essence of #time, Sir has confined the moments of #loss_of_morality, #craze_for_money, #moral_degradation but yet many beautiful things are there to explore from his works.

#Dr_Keyur_Dasadya Sir, the Principal of Shamaldas Arts College, shared his experience regarding working with Dr. Kalra Sir.

#Dr_AbdulShamim_Khan_Sir expressed the concerns of Dr.Kalra Sir's works that how he avoids to write for cheap publishing fields and the concepts that we find in his poetry. Sir also shared his memories with Dr.Kalra Sir.

The best friend of Dr. Kalra, #Madhubhai_Shah also shared his experience with Dr.Kalra.

Dr. Heenaba Zala ma'am gave a wonderful feedback which inspired us to work and dedicate life to writing like Dr. Kalra. Ma'am also shared her sweet memories when Department Alumni Association had organized a visit of Dr.Kalra Sir who had delivered a note on poetic creation five-six years back.
