Here are some glimpses of various events of this Youth Fest.
Kala Yatra-
The very first event which was organized in this 29th Youth Festival of Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University was Kala Yatra. The most innovative ‘art conservation’ rally which was on 25th September 2019, the 1st day of Youth fest was from Shamaldas Arts College to Sheth H J Law College.
There was a presentation of art on a common theme of Gandhi. The theme was common but the perspectives were different. The below-attached video uploaded by University provides a view of these themes and perspectives.

The theme of Swami Sahjanand College of Commerce and Management was " My life is my message", The KPES college presented the journey of Mohan to Mahatma, The theme of Shamaldas Arts College was innovative and relevant like- “WHERE AM I?” while Sir P P Institute of Science raised some robust questions on the relevancy of Gandhian thoughts in today's world.
On 26th of September, there was inauguration function at the amphitheater of MKBU campus. It very appropriately commenced with one of the most favorite songs of Mahatma Gandhi, Click here to watch the video.
Day 4- 28th September 2019
વૈષ્ણવ જન તો તેને કહિયે જે પીડપરાઈ જાણે રે….
- An outstanding folk orchestra was performed by GTU students.
- Welcoming speech by Dilipsihn Saheb, Head of Physical Education Department was full of vibrancy and vision.
- Member of Legislative assembly, an Indian politician, Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama delivered a remarkable speech on the importance of Education and Youth.
- Eminent Folk Singers of Gujarat and the real gems of Folk Music- Mayabhai Ahir, Kirtidan Gadhvi, Abhaysinh Rathod as well as Dhirubhai Sarvaiya made the ambiance of the amphitheater very festive with their vocal vibes!

- Yuvraj Saheb of Bhavnagar addressed the audience with his jubilant voice.
- Dr. Mahipatsinh Chavda Sir, Vice-chancellor of Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University delivered a brief thanking note.

Mimicry
|
Total of nine participants from nine institutions participated in this event held from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm showed their skills by imitating various actions. Some of the superficial resemblances made the event more energizing and lively.

Bhajan
|
Total of 30 students from 30 institutions participated in this event which was held at the new court hall between 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm wherein the participants with their melodious voice sang hymns which are still prominent in local villages- maintaining the essence of folk and devotional music.
Nasim Gaha from Department of English participated in the event to showcase her vocal skills.

Spot Painting
|
The competition of On the Spot painting was organized at The external building between 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm wherein 32 students from 32 institutions participated including me and the topics were-

One act Play
|
One act Play had a great number of entries and as it requires up to 30 minutes it was divided into 3 sessions in two consecutive days. This was held at Atal Auditorium.
The themes were largely based on current issues.

Quiz
|
Quiz competition was held at the Department of English between 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm (preliminary round) wherein 3 students (Hina, Bhavnesh, and Divya) from our department participated in this event.
The second and final round was on 27 September 2019 between 9:oo am to 12:00 pm at the same place.

On the spot poetry making
and Poetry Recitation

This competition was indeed a spontaneous one!
As Wordsworth quotes- *
“Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feeling”.
22 participants were assigned topics and had to prepare poetry (playing with words). Payal Chudasama from Department of English had participated in this event.

Folk Dance
|
This was the most exciting event for the audience. The competition was held at Amphitheater from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

|
This was held at Atal Auditorium from 7:30 onwards.

Paper Collage
|
This competition was held at External Building from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with main theme Gandhi wherein 17 students from 17 institutions participated.

|
Total three groups of participants from three institutions participated in this event held from 08:00am to 11:30 am, showed their skills by performing various classical forms.

Poster Making
|
This event was held at the external building from 8 in the morning to 10:30 am. Total 22 number of students participated and the topics were-
- 150th Birth Anniversary of Gandhi,
- 29th Rang Yuva Mahotsav 2019
- Save girl
- Girl abortion
Lalji Baraiya From Department of English participated in this event.

The elocution competition was organized at the Department of English from 10:00 am to 02:00 pm wherein 32 students from 32 institutions participated including Ruchi Joshi from Department of English and the topics were-

|
Western Group song was held at New court wherein 5 students (Prakruti, Ruchita, Tamsa, Divya and Avni) from our department participated in this event.
There were total five teams participating from five institutions.

Mehndi
|
This competition was at an external building from 2 to 4:30 pm and a total of 29 participants from various institutions participated and exhibited their skills in painting hand with hina cone.

Essay writing
|
This event was held at the Department of English with 31 participants from 3pm to 4 pm.
Prinjal Shiyal from Department of English had participated in this event.
|
Mono Acting
|
This was held at Atal Auditorium from 2 pm to 5 pm with total 21 participants including Ruchi Joshi from Department of English.

Photography
|
This competition was held at External Building from 3:30pm to 5:00pm wherein 18 students from 18 institutions participated and captured various shots in the campus.
Rohit Vyas from the Department of English had participated in this photography competition.

Rangoli
|
Total 28 participants from 28 institutions participated in this event held from 5 pm to 7:30 pm, showed their skills by making rangoli with different materials.
I participated in this event and made a rangoli from orbeez balls.

Group Song (Indian traditional)

This was one of the cultural event wherein 68 participants from 18 institutions participated held from 08:30 am to 12:30.

Skit
|
This event was held at Atal Auditorium from 8 in the morning to 12:30. Total 72 number of students participated from 12 institutions and performed on current burning issues for Indian society.
Hina, Nirali, Alisha, Prinjal, Nasim, Monica under the guidance of Alpa Ponda and Kaushal Trivedi performed an extraordinary skit on LGBT theme.

Installation
|
In this competition, three students from the Department of English participated and made a chandrayaan.
|
The valedictory Function
Vibhavariben Dave was the chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony, Digubha Chudasama, Meranbhai Gadhvi addressed the audience with their thoughts. Mahipatsingh Chavda gave a very wonderful thanking speech in this function.
The blog would remain incomplete without mentioning the name of the anchors- Shaktisinh Parmar for anchoring the fest exceptionally well for three days and Himal Pandya Sir for doing a tough job with extreme easiness.
